Although Huawei's summer is just beginning, the P60 Pro and Mate X3 were unveiled today in Europe. At an event in China on May 18, a new MatePad model, a new smartwatch, and other new gadgets will be unveiled.

The new slate's name was not mentioned in the official post on Weibo, but there are rumors that it will be called the Huawei MatePad Air. Several models have already received certification: Only supporting Wi-Fi (DBY2-W00) or 4G (DBY2-AL00 and DBY2Z-AL00).

The tablet will be powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset and an 8,200mAh battery that can be charged with 40W, according to the Chinese publication ITHome. We anticipate seeing relevant teasers over the next few days, though these particulars have not yet been confirmed.
