Sharp Aquos R8 and R8 Pro announced in Japan

Sharp is right on signal with its most recent Japan-restrictive leader cell phone discharge - the Aquos R8 and R8 Expert. With Qualcomm's most recent flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the Aquos R8 Pro continues the legacy set by the Aquos R7 from last year.

The Aquos R8 Pro features a 6.6-inch Pro IGZO OLED screen with a 240Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1,260 x 2,730 pixels. In addition, the panel supports 10-bit color, supports Dolby Vision, and has a peak brightness of 2,000 nits.

In addition to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, both phones feature 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Aquos R8 Pro has a battery with 5,000 mAh, while the standard R8 has a cell with 4,570 mAh.

 

Aquos R8 and R8 Star are IP68 water and residue safe and accompany microSD card openings and earphone jacks. The two telephones boot Android 13 with a guaranteed 3 operating system form refreshes and as long as five years of safety refreshes. The latter will depend on the carrier.

 

 

The Aquos R8 is available in Blue, Cream, and Black, while the Aquos R8 Pro is also available. From July 15, both phones will be available for purchase in Japan.
